Owsley, Raymond Mr., CA-38 plankowner dies

A service will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2007, in Willamette National Cemetery for Raymond Owsley, who died June 23 at age 92.

Mr. Owsley was born Feb. 21, 1915, in Dallas, Texas. He served in the Navy for 24 years, surviving the raid on Pearl Harbor and taking part in the Battle of Guadalcanal. He moved in 1957 to Portland, where he was a machinist for an ornamental iron works business. In 1993, he married Katherine C. Mohr.

Survivors include his wife; stepdaughters, Martha E. "Marti" Reynolds and Bernadine A. "Bambi" Hawkins; stepson, Joseph Francis C. M. Mohr; and seven grandchildren.
