STORIES OF THE MEN

Charles A. Welsh

Charles Welsh

ATTENTION ALL HANDS!!

The Task Force of which the San Francisco is now a par is cruising in the Yellow Sea in order to destroy, if necessary, any Jap shipping, and to support the amphibious landings of the forces directed to occupy the area around the Yellow Sea.

During these operations we shall be of the cities of Tsing-Tao, China; Shosei-To on the west coast of Korea; and Dairen, which is on the same peninsula as the old Russian harbor of Port Arthur.

Since these water have been mined repeatedly by both Japanese and the Allies, all hands are enjoined to keep a sharp lookout for mines at all times, reporting any such to the Officer of the Deck.
